Return to Office: As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office.

What you'll do:

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a dynamic and motivated Co-op Student to join the Beauty Marketing team. As a leading retailer in the beauty industry, we are looking for a passionate individual with a keen interest in marketing and the beauty sector at one of Canada's most recognizable brands - Shoppers Drug Mart. We're looking for a student who wants to gain meaningful work experience and break into the world of Beauty. This student will get professional experience working with a team to launch National Marketing campaigns, collaborate with world-class beauty brands, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Category Management, Merchandising, Store Operations, Legal, Loblaw Agency, Loblaw Digital, Social, and so much more. This individual will have the opportunity to learn and understand the key Marketing principles including brand management, brand positioning, visual brand identity, analyzing creative, launch new products, and how to plan and execute Marketing campaigns.

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Passionate about beauty, marketing, retail, brands, and Shoppers Drug Mart.
  • A willing and curious learner.
  • Organized and able to move quickly within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Great interpersonal skills to effectively source information, obtain approvals and build relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail.

What you've done:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program with a focus on marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Genuine passion for the beauty industry.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and a good understanding of current beauty trends.
  • Mid-to-high Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to commit to a full-time co-op position for the specified duration.
  • Must be able to travel to the head office during the in-office days.
