What we offer you on a daily basis as a Content Manager

Do you love researching, writing, and self-editing content? Are you familiar with the SaaS and social media management space? Do you know that creativity and organization aren't antonyms? Would you have rewritten this first paragraph to be tighter and more interesting with one main idea? Then considering applying to be a content writer for Agorapulse.

As part of the dynamic, high-paced Content team, you'll regularly work on highly strategic, written content for publication both on our site, our social media channels, and our in-house stakeholders in different departments throughout the world.

Our Content team spans time zones, so you'll need to work asynchronously and be self-driven, with some overlapping meetings to stay connected.

The Content team creates all video, design, and written content for Agorapulse. Our writer must thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, be organized, communicative, and comfortable collaborating with others.

But if you enjoy balancing extroverted tasks (interviews, stakeholder outreach, brainstorming) with introverted ones (research, writing, editing), you might be the perfect fit for us.

The key for success for this role is understanding the target audience (and doing what's needed to that extent) so that you can write the content they crave for.

The components of the role

  • Write detailed, well-researched articles weekly, including competitor pieces and strategic, shorter content, in a fast-paced environment
  • Produce content developed from creative briefs from in-house stakeholders
  • Develop a good, working relationship with other teams and provide statistics and data for ebooks, data-rich articles, and white papers
  • Conduct research from reliable, solid sources
  • Strengthen existing articles through SEMrush research, updates, etc.
  • Write both long-form and short-form content, according to the project's priority
  • Collaborate with the Demand Generation and Product Marketing teams to identify what our target audience craves for, and how our product can help them
  • Communicate frequently with other members of the Content Production team on a dedicated Slack channel as well as other company employees via public channels
  • Brainstorm content marketing ideas, such as infographics and ebooks
  • Assist in the distribution of content
  • Understand and follow set processes for creating content
  • Have light proofreading and editing skills
  • Conduct competitive research
  • Stay on top of the going-ons in our social media space

About you

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism

  • You have 5 years of experience in journalism. An experience in a corporate setting would also be appreciated.
  • You can work from Canada or the US.
