Value Partners Investments (VPI) is looking for a reliable, organized, and creative Marketing Specialist. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating a variety of different marketing materials that help clients understand what they own and why they own it. We are on a mission to build the best investment firm in Canada. To do that, we need to communicate more effectively than any other investment firm. The Marketing Specialist will play a key part in achieving this goal!

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Work with portfolio managers, management and the marketing, finance, and compliance teams to create marketing materials including newsletters, videos, buy/sell updates, investment updates, unitholder inserts, market commentary, presentations, reports, booklets, brochures, etc.
  • Tracking the effectiveness of marketing efforts and identifying areas of potential improvement
  • Providing marketing support to financial advisors, other departments, and associated businesses (presentation design, holiday cards, videos, PowerPoint templates, etc.)
  • Assisting in distributing marketing materials to staff, advisors, and clients through various communication channels (Constant Contact, website, team meetings or events, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Collaborating with the event coordinator to promote internal and external events (event invitations, event websites, agendas, speaker presentations, etc.)
  • Continuously improving the professionalism, consistency, and visual appeal of all Value Partners materials

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in marketing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to think outside of the box to generate new and creative ideas
  • Experience using analytics software to measure the effectiveness of websites, emails, social posts, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as take the initiative on individual projects
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset (primarily InDesign)
