Job Overview/Purpose

At Chartwell Retirement Residences, we are seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist. As a key member of our Digital Experience team, you will leverage your expertise in marketing automation to shape and execute campaigns that profoundly resonate with our community. This role is ideal for an innovative marketer with a background in email marketing, digital advertising, and analytics who thrives in a B2C environment. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our digital marketing strategy, driving campaigns that directly impact engagement and growth for our residences. You will design and optimize automated nurturing programs to convert prospects into loyal customers, playing a critical role in enhancing our lead generation and overall marketing success. You will work with state-of-the-art tools and technologies and will have the chance to implement cutting-edge marketing automation strategies. Your role will involve experimenting with new approaches and A/B testing to ensure our campaigns are both innovative and effective.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Development and Management:

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the overall email and CRM marketing strategy.
  • Take ownership of Eloqua administrative tasks to ensure smooth platform operation and utilization, establishing yourself as the go-to expert.
  • Support the development of a blueprint to enhance Chartwell's marketing setup and operations, aligning with business priorities.
  • Oversee technical integrations with CRM and lead generation platforms, and manage the marketing tech stack.

Marketing Automation & Execution:

  • Develop and implement marketing automation strategies that align with Chartwell's business goals.
  • Execute daily tasks such as email workflow builds/sends, landing page setup, scheduling, A/B testing, dynamic content, list management, segmentation, and campaign reporting.
  • Plan and implement various campaigns that drive lead generation including prospecting, nurturing, and re-engagement, along with marketing automation triggers and flows.
  • Optimize conversion rates through targeted nurture programs and maximize the conversion rates of MQLs to SQLs.

Data Management & Optimization:

  • Enhance marketing database quality, focusing on high-value, clean data contacts.
  • Lead database cleanup efforts and develop strategies for targeting and list segmentation.
  • Ensure data hygiene within Eloqua and manage integrations with other systems to ensure seamless data flow and accuracy.
  • Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns, maintaining account health and providing recommendations for future strategies.

Campaign Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze data to identify successful messages and campaigns, providing actionable insights for optimization.
  • Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to refine strategies and assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to track and measure campaign success, continually refining strategies based on insights.

Sales Collaboration & Compliance:

  • Collaborate with sales teams on marketing automation enhancements, templates, and lead lifecycle management strategies.
  • Leverage lead attribution and scoring tools to improve MQLs and SQLs, ensuring alignment between marketing and sales objectives.
  • Ensure all email marketing activities comply with regulations such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Act as a strategic partner for internal teams, providing expertise in marketing automation and guiding the lifecycle from ideation to execution.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including content, analytics, sales, operations, IT, and senior leadership, to drive alignment and achieve collective goals.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in CRM, Lifecycle Marketing, and Marketing Automation to recommend innovative strategies.
Qualifications

Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in lifecycle/email marketing, lead nurturing, and marketing automation, preferably in a B2C environment.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, responsive email design, AMPscript, CMS, and content feeds.
  • Hands-on experience with Eloqua or marketing automation tools such as Pardot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.
  • Proficient in campaign tracking, database management, segmentation, and data-driven targeting strategies, and best practices in marketing automation.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing compliance regulations and best practices.
  • Proven experience in project management and data governance.
  • Familiarity with acquisition, engagement, and retention campaign strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Experience with tools such as Sitecore, GA4, SiteImprove, or similar platforms is asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • A fast learner with a strong technical aptitude, capable of quickly mastering new tools.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An enthusiastic, team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, and openness to new ideas.
  • Action-oriented, with effective follow-up skills and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
