This position is responsible for the accurate preparation, submission, and service of all Government Tenders and contract/bid customers. A focus on building customer relationships, promoting Sysco’s products and services and exceeding customer expectations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Building and Managing a territory of Government tenders and contract/bid customers
  • Maintain compliance based on contractual agreements
  • Ensures implementation of and compliance with all applicable regulations/laws and company policies, including but not limited to Food Safety Policy, SOP’s & regulations, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust policies and regulations, etc.
  • Keeps an up-to-date bid log control sheet of all tenders quoted for audit purposes
  • Complete all federal government tenders and bids for the region
  • Attend Sysco/Customer events
  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • 3-5 years of Sales experience, Contract experience an asset
  • Strong administration and computer literacy skills
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams
  • Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports and deriving insights from data
  • Solid knowledge of healthcare customer needs and related products
  • Understanding of the Bid Navigator and Merx software considered an asset
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle may be required.
