Overview:
Pembina's Marketing Business Unit is seeking a Crude Oil Marketing Analyst to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Crude Oil Marketing and Trading, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing development of Pembina's midstream business strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to support the team in maximizing Pembina's crude oil marketing and trading enterprise. Knowledge and experience in the crude oil marketing and trading business (front, mid, and back office) will be considered an asset. Specifically, an understanding of commercial logistics, crude oil scheduling, pricing, marketing accounting, and lease marketing will be beneficial.
Pembina engages in value-added commodity marketing activities, including buying and selling products such as natural gas, ethane, propane, butane, condensate, and crude oil, while capitalizing on arbitrage opportunities. By contracting capacity on Pembina's and various third-party pipelines and utilizing the company's rail fleet and rail logistics capabilities, the Marketing Business Unit adds incremental value to commodities for Pembina and the WCSB. Marketing activities also include identifying commercial opportunities to further develop other Pembina assets.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Primarily supporting the Producer Services team by providing customer support as needed, specifically, tracking production, managing operations, updating and validating Right Angle for accruals and actuals, and assisting with settlement;
- Managing various business reporting requirements such as: performance reporting, key performance indicator tracking & reporting, Right Angle data entry, and mark to market reporting;
- Supporting the commercial trading team by assisting with accounting, analytics, pricing, reporting, and systems development;
- Supporting the scheduling team by handling specific transportation logistics tasks related to movements on pipelines & trucks;
- Work with others to identify and develop opportunities for Pembina's pipeline, storage, and terminalling assets; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering combined with a minimum of 2 years in the oil and gas industry with a preferred focus in crude supply, trading, and/or logistics;
- Relevant experience or understanding of logistics, pipeline transportation, and/or marketing accounting are desirable but not required;
- Candidates should have an understanding of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) crude oil marketing business, be highly analytical, possess strong business and financial acumen, and have a demonstrated an ability to establish strong internal and external relationships;
- Competencies in communication, decision making, and multi-tasking skills are a must;
- Strong computer skills, high attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and independent problem solving; and
- Experience with Right Angle (commercial trading & logistics system) will be highly beneficial.
Pembina's Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
