Manager of Provincial Cannabis Sales - Saskatchewan
High Tide Inc. is seeking an experienced provincial sales manager to oversee our growing book of business in Saskatchewan. This role includes P&L responsibility for the Province and involves setting and executing strategies to increase sales through in-market visits, email marketing, incentive programs and special events. There is also potential to expand into additional provincial territories, as federal regulations evolve.
We are looking for top tier talent nation-wide, and are willing to provide assistance in relocating the right candidate to Regina for this critical role.
You will manage this territory on behalf of our fully owned subsidiary, Valiant Distribution, based in Regina, SK. Your clients will be the 150+ cannabis retailers across Saskatchewan, and you will market a catalog of several hundred SKUs from the most established of Canada's Licensed Producers (LPs).
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a wholesale/B2B sales or business development role
- Entrepreneurial self-starter
- Familiarity with the sales cycle and unique selling processes required for account penetration and growth into retail
- Ability to uncover clients' needs and curate unique product solutions.
- Strong category management and selling skills
- Demonstrated track record of success in the development of distribution channels for consumer packaged goods
- Strong knowledge of b2b marketing fundamentals
The role is expected to deliver profitable growth by acquiring new customers and creating new opportunities.
Key Accountabilities/Duties:
- This position is focused on selling a large catalog of cannabis products from Licensed Producers (smokables, consumables, topicals, accessories) to 150 plus cannabis retail outlets throughout Saskatchewan.
- Generate sales through direct marketing outreach via all mediums (in-person, email, telephone etc.). This position involves a combination of time spent in the office (home office, and/or Regina office) and in-market travel across the province.
- Ideate and execute promotional and marketing campaigns to drive adoption of our catalog.
- Actively manage your accounts and improve growth sales pipeline.
- Organize and utilize CRM and report management.
- Qualify new business prospects and build an active, high potential prospect list.
- Solicit and forward account onboarding, sales agreements, and order forms for processing.
- Enforce the company's payment terms and assist in the collection of A/R from your accounts.
- Maintain a high level of service to existing customers; managing the customer relationship from contract execution through delivery to after sales service; and soliciting referrals from customers.
- Achieve quarterly sales quotas.
Other Qualifications
- CannaSell certification, or ability to pass a CannSell certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient at curating products for customers using a consultative selling framework.
- Proficient use of a CRM system to show pipeline growth and accuracy in forecasting information.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, build, execute new customers in assigned province/region-Saskatchewan.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of assigned customer accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges and act accordingly to minimize impact through strong customer management.
- Successful track-record of exceeding goals and quota.
- Ability to demonstrate strategic approach to new & existing customers and opportunities through opportunity planning.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting salary of $100,000+/year based on experience.
- Commission incentive plan, with unlimited earnings potential. On target earnings (including base salary) of $145,000-$160,000+ per year
