EMAIL MARKETING SPECIALIST

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Email Marketing Specialist will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of Equiton's email, SMS, and LinkedIn automation campaigns. Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Marketing, this role plays a critical part in driving engagement and conversions through targeted, data- driven campaigns. The successful candidate will be the subject matter expert in email marketing strategies and automation tools, supporting lead generation and overall business growth.
This position requires on-site presence 5 days a week.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute email and SMS marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, design, and deployment.
- Manage and optimize LinkedIn lead generation automation tools (e.g. Dripify).
- Conduct A/B testing to continuously optimize campaigns and increase engagement.
- Write compelling and engaging email copy tailored to target audiences, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance (open rates, CTRs, conversions, etc.) to stakeholders, recommending improvements.
- Ensure all campaigns comply with CASL and other regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product and content, to align campaigns with business objectives.
- Monitor database health and implement best practices for list growth, hygiene, and segmentation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, and other aspects of email execution.
- Create and maintain email templates, ensuring consistency in branding and message.
- Stay up-to-date on email marketing trends and tools, advocating new ideas to improve overall performance.
- Assist with the planning and execution of LinkedIn automation for lead nurturing and acquisition.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
This role requires careful handling of sensitive customer information and marketing data. The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the accuracy and timely delivery of all campaigns, with a direct impact on lead generation and company revenue.
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISION/COORDINATION OF OTHERS:
The Email Marketing Specialist will collaborate with internal teams such as compliance, content, design, and external vendors. The role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will coordinate campaign effort across multiple platforms.
COMMUNICATION:
- Communication will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, with most interactions in written (emails, reports) and verbal (meetings) formats.
- Presenting Insights: The role requires regular presentation of campaign performance and optimization insights to senior management, offering recommendations for ongoing improvements.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp or Klaviyo.
- Experience with SMS marketing.
- Experience with LinkedIn automation tools is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of email compliance standards (CASL).
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email.
- Experience managing large-scale email and SMS marketing campaigns with a focus on maximizing engagement and ROI.
- Experience with email copy development, and optimizing creative assets for better performance and higher conversions.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in email marketing, CRM, or digital marketing roles.
JUDGEMENT/PROBLEM SOLVING/DECISION MAKING:
- The role requires independent decision-making in applying marketing best practices, interpreting data, and solving problems related to campaign performance.
