As our business grows, Cabco is seeking a Senior Communications Cabling Technician to work out of Dartmouth. A self-starter with a passion for technology, you are comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a collaborative, goal-oriented atmosphere. You have a reputation for being reliable, customer focused and approach your daily work in an efficient, highly organized manner.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- 5+ year's experience in the installation, troubleshooting and integration of structured cabling.
- Communications Cabling Specialist (CCS) certification preferred or willingness to work towards it
- Ability to act as a site lead
- Positive attitude and ability to effectively communicate with staff, vendors and customers.
- Interest in technology and willing to learn new skills via interaction with our Premises Security and Telecommunications teams.
- Ability to work in a physical labor workplace.
- Willingness to travel to all job sites, nightshifts/weekends (as required).
- Comply with all safety regulations and meet safety training requirements to maintain a successful safety record.
- You have a reputation for being reliable and approach your daily work in an efficient, professional manner.
- Experience working on lifts is considered an asset.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
