About the Position :
Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications will work to propel the organization's brand image through consistent messaging and strategy as well as support the capital raise team in growing awareness, consideration, and investment with new clients. They will liaise with internal and external partners to drive awareness of Equiton with key target markets and play a key role in helping the organization achieve its aggressive growth targets.
Key Functions and Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies and monitor their success.
- Define key performance indicators for each communications channel which will indicate a campaign's level of success and adjust as .
- Oversee the creation of brand and lead generation advertising that is impactful and will grow brand recognition and the client base.
- Oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure consistency with the organization's brand, including Fund materials, white papers, website copy, and more.
- Develop a PR strategy and liaise with media to increase the profile of the organization.
- Identify key target markets and product benefits and work with the creative team to create engaging advertising and informational pieces for a variety of platforms/channels that drive results.
- Update and create marketing materials such as: Annual Reports, ESG Reports, Performance Reports, Brochures and other informational pieces and presentations for partners, advisors, and investors.
- Make recommendations on evolving strategy based on results and competitive intelligence.
- Create internal communication protocols and initiatives that will foster employee morale.
- Ensure there is a tight process that fosters accuracy while delivering materials in a timely and relevant manner.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Superior written and verbal communications skills.
- Proven experience managing a high-performance team.
- Ability to influence cross-departmental key stakeholders while maintaining a positive relationship.
- Ability to turn target market insights into actionable strategies and measure success and adjust as needed.
- Ability to choose and effectively manage key external partners.
- Experience developing and executing value propositions that are meaningful and differentiating.
- Great multi-tasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to execute on a variety of projects with high accuracy while delivering timely content consistently and in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in Communications, preferably in Financial Services or a related category.
- Post-secondary education with a focus on Marketing.
