RESPONSIBILITIES
About the role : The Remarketing Solutions Auction Coordinator manages and coordinates the communication and relationship between GM Financial and the auction's inside sales team. The Auction Coordinator performs functions and makes sales and financial decisions directly related to the preparation and sale of remarketed vehicles. This team member is responsible for completing a wide variety of complex tasks and has direct contact with other departments and external vendors. Achieving optimal business results and department objectives in this position directly affects the financial results of the company.
- Review processes and systems to ensure all vehicles in inventory are appropriately staged for sale Nationwide
- Provide professional and positive communication to both internal and external customers which could include importers/exporters and GM dealers providing recall repairs
- Ensure all requirements are met for export eligible vehicles including vehicle condition, documentation and announcements
- Work e-mail queues according to the established service level
- Follow-up on aged inventory and escalate issues when needed
- Verify manufacturers open recalls and provide the appropriate documents to the auction or if required, ensure the repairs are completed prior to the sale of the vehicle
- Review and approve auction charges for all inventory and seek reimbursement of unapproved charges
- Ensure CDN Repo Vehicles are managed appropriately and without delay
- Review and reconcile missing proceeds and auction reports to ensure all sales information and proceeds are received for all vehicles sold
- Other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
What makes you a dream candidate?
- Proficient in technology systems such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint (Candidates with advanced Excel skills would be preferred)
- A working knowledge of GM Financial's servicing system including Salesforce and AutoIMS preferred but not required
- Good working knowledge of the finance, auction or dealership related industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expert problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage and make financial decisions in relation to vehicle sales, auction charges, invoice approvals and proceeds collection
- Ability to relate to others, build relationships and constructively interact with a variety of people and situations, both internal and external to the company
- Ability to analyze, judge and prioritize work responsibilities to meet demanding deadlines
- Must have a track record of excellent reliability, dependability and ownership skills
- Ability to be flexible and adapt well to change
Experience
- General office duties performed in a call center, auto finance, auction or dealership preferred
- Experience in providing customer service to internal and/or external customers
- High school diploma or equivalent required
