As a Director Marketing, you will be a key member of the Canadian team. You will be responsible for identification of strategic priorities and some tactical execution to support IMCIVREE's current launch in POMC/PCSK1, LEPR deficiencies (PPL) and Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS), as well as future launches. In this role, you will report to the General Manager (GM) of Canada and be a thought partner to the GM, driving performance excellence and collaborating with sales, medical affairs, regulatory and legal/compliance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop the Canadian Strategic Brand plan by defining the brand vision, key issues, critical success factors and tactical plan
- Lead the execution of the strategic brand plan with the ultimate goal of achieving sales and revenue objectives
- Drive cross functional alignment (including sales, market access, regulatory, legal/compliance, medical affairs) to ensure that other functional activities are appropriately prioritized to align with critical success factors
- Consistently monitor the strategic brand plan and make adjustments based on performance against established metrics
- In close partnership with the GM, develop and track demand and revenue forecast and budget for the brand
- Foster strong partnerships with the sales team to identify needs of the team and their customers and ensure pull-through of tactics and initiatives
- Provide input into the development of medical education, clinical studies, KOL and publication strategy
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative market data to generate a deeper understanding of customer needs, brand and disease issues, and market potential, including proactive identification of opportunities and gaps to refine strategies
- Build strong relationships with KOLs and key customers to identify customer needs and drive commercial development

- Act as point of contact and collaboration with US and International sales and marketing teams to ensure sharing of learnings and best practices across the organization
- BA in business or related field and/or BSc preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong track record of success across sales and marketing in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical industry with 10 years
- in the commercial environment with 8+ years in brand management and leading teams in Canada
- Experienced manager of professionals and functional teams
- Rare disease and launch experience required
- Bilingual abilities in French is a plus
- Ability to be think and executive strategically, while also balancing tactical requirements
- Self-motivated, resourceful and highly energetic individual with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- High level of self-awareness and understanding of the importance of self-monitoring behaviour for continuous improvement
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated ability to be a proactive thinker and to embody a solution-orientated mindset
- Demonstrated success working collaboratively and building sustainable and collaborative relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to articulate and convey complex data and information concisely to internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
