We are looking for a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to help us create some disruption and get the Atlantic provinces talking about construction!
This is a great opportunity for a highly creative and versatile individual who wants to gain valuable marketing experience doing what they love. Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will support all functions of the rcs' marketing team, specifically in the area of generating/creating and curating cool, relevant, and timely content - primarily used for social media, website, proposals, brochures, etc. This individual will also be responsible for helping to ensure consistent and cohesive messaging that speaks to the community at large by updating and maintaining the company's Social Media presence and website.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with writing, curating, editing and sharing marketing and communication messages through social media platforms, websites, blogs and newsletters
- Design engaging/compelling marketing collateral to ?disrupt' the industry
- Brainstorm campaign ideas and assist with the strategic planning for both the overarching Marketing and Social Media Plans
- Create engaging text, imagery and video content
- Assist with website maintenance
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with social media and marketing trends and news, ensuring maximum effectiveness
- Assist with monitoring, developing and managing social media accounts and presence
- Analyze analytics to gauge the success of campaigns
- Other marketing functions as may be required to support the strategic direction of the Marketing team
This position is suitable for someone early in their marketing career, or a recent graduate in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field, ideally someone that has strong knowledge of social media platforms.
In addition, this position will require occasional travel within the Atlantic region, so a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance are required.
Additional qualities that will help you excel in this position:
- Excellent social listening skills
- Familiarity with all relevant social media platforms
- Excellent copy writing and verbal communications skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge / experience with digital media
- Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
- Exposure to Adobe Creative Cloud applications (i.e., Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and Canva
- A keen eye for photography and videography, as well as graphic design skills will be considered an asset
