OVERVIEW

The Senior Manager, Media and Communications will play a key role in enhancing and promoting the Flyover brand through a mix of owned and paid media, influencer partnerships, content creation (including social media), corporate communications, and crisis management. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with our brand objectives and revenue goals for our attractions. The role involves collaboration with diverse teams across different locations and coordination with media agencies to effectively execute these strategies.

WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION FOR THIS ROLE?

The wage for this role is $80K-90K -base salary; details of the total compensation package will be discussed during the interview process.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THIS JOB?

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement media content in alignment with our key brand strategies, launching across all platforms
  • Develop communication materials and media messaging to expand the company's brand positioning, while proactively identifying new opportunities to boost awareness
  • Cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
  • Lead crisis communications and issues management, coordinating with stakeholders to implement top-tier response strategies that safeguard and maintain the brand's reputation
  • Write and edit press releases, pitches, and external communications plans
  • Act as Flyover's main media spokesperson when needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED FOR THIS JOB?

Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent relevant experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or Communications
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in public and media relations required
  • Prior experience developing and executing content strategies across multiple platforms
  • Experience working in the hospitality or entertainment industry preferred
  • Strong copy writing and editing skills
  • Proven track record leading crisis communications
  • Ability to travel to the USA for meetings
