OVERVIEW

The Sr. Manager, Marketing & Sales is a collaborative role that contributes to the development of Flyover's sales and marketing strategies in Vancouver. The incumbent will lead a team of two and coordinate with stakeholders across the business. The focus of the role is to drive strong returns through strategic marketing, advertising, media, and sales channels, while positioning Flyover as a top Vancouver attraction.

WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION FOR THIS ROLE?

The wage for this role is $80K-90K -base salary; details of perks and the total compensation package will be discussed during the interview process.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THIS JOB?

  • Collaborate with the Flyover leadership team on annual plans and annual budget, this includes optimizing marketing and sales strategies that increase brand awareness, engagement and conversion in collaboration with the larger marketing and sales support teams
  • Leverage support from the Flyover Revenue Team and external agencies to deliver marketing communications, promotions, social engagement, website conversion, and brand engagement
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing to enhance the digital guest journey with the goal of increased brand awareness, user experience, and conversion rates
  • Develop targeted sales plans for the Vancouver market, including regional groups and affiliated local partners
  • Build relationships with local sales and marketing partners, DMOs (we need to spell out this acronym), tourism authorities and key industry people of influence
  • Represent the Flyover Revenue Team on-site at Flyover in Vancouver and participate as a key business leader for that location with the management team
  • Support media, influencer, and partner visits
  • Compile and present monthly marketing and sales performance reports
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED FOR THIS JOB?

Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent relevant experience in Marketing, Communications, Hotel and Resort Management, or tourism
  • A minimum 5 years' of direct work experience of Marketing and Sales in Vancouver required
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality, marketing, sales public relations and accounting principles is required
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required; including public speaking
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required
  • Ability to travel to and work from the USA
