SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Senior Communications Strategist develops and implements communications strategies focused on increasing internal and external awareness of key projects and initiatives in support of SaskEnergy's Corporate Plan. This role supervises content development for corporate storytelling and assists with monitoring the effectiveness of SaskEnergy's communications channels.

Position Details

Non-union - This position is temporary full time for up to 18 months.

Key Accountabilities

Develop effective corporate communications strategies and key messages for internal and external stakeholders, in support of SaskEnergy's Corporate Plan.

Deliver communications services, recommendations and expertise to senior leadership and key business groups to effectively communicate to SaskEnergy's employees.

Lead corporate communications projects and initiatives; manage the project timelines and provide recommendations for strategies and tactics.

Lead the development of SaskEnergy's Annual Report and contribute to the ESG Report.

Coach and provide guidance to junior staff, including the delivery of technical leadership and advising team members across the department.

Contribute to the continued evolution of communications channels ? including videos, all-employee emails, and the corporate intranet and websites ? and communications related to key corporate programs/initiatives.

Develop sensitive communications for management employee groups, including collective bargaining agreement (CBA) impacts.

Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Degree in English, Journalism or Communications Studies.

Five (5) years' working in a Corporate Communications environment and leading major communications efforts, which includes creating and developing communication strategies and the variety of tools used in this field.

Experience developing sensitive and confidential communications and messaging targeted to identified groups.

Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships.

Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.

A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.

Additional Information

Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, is required on occasion.

A Class 5 Driver's License is required.
