Our start-up client provides innovative solutions to help pets thrive throughout their entire lives. They focus on prevention, support and rehabilitation products trusted by various veterinarians, universities, and rehabilitation facilities. They have successfully curated a portfolio of brands to aid in this mission and are looking to expand! They operate direct to consumer through platforms like Chewy

  • Amazon and additionally work business to business working with veterinarian businesses.

About the Opportunity : Product Marketing Manager

  • Lead the development of positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation for product lines

  • Developing and implementing the strategic product roadmaps

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth

  • Manage all marketing activities in the product life cycle, including competitor analysis, market and portfolio need identification, ROI proformas, positioning, roadmap development, and product launch plans

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches across all brands

  • Manage 3-year product pipeline and present product concepts internally to leadership for approval

  • Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding

  • Gather customer insights through surveys, focus groups, and feedback sessions to refine product positioning

  • Work closely with customer support and sales teams to integrate feedback into marketing strategies

  • Create compelling product content, including brochures, videos, blog posts, and email campaigns

  • Collaborate with sales to manage customer, wholesaler and distributor-specific product offerings and promotions

  • Lead packaging design from concept to delivery

  • Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers

  • Establish work priorities; create, communicate, and execute project plans

  • Oversee the production of educational and promotional materials for B2B partners

  • Measure and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns to optimize effectiveness

  • Maintain KPIs for product awareness, customer engagement, and sales impact

  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Report into the Director of Marketing

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing within the consumer packaged goods or pet care industry

  • Proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product, from conception and launch to rationalization and cessation

  • Excellent organizational skills - you can manage multiple projects, timelines, budgets, stakeholders!

  • Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and be a thoughtful contributor

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment: you thrive with organizing structure and facilitating pieces

  • Experience with direct to consumer brands, ideally ecommerce, retail, or CPG brands

  • Strong communication skills

  • Big-picture thinker with a creative and growth mindset

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and wear multiple hats

  • Proven track record of strong written communication

  • Strong understanding of foundational marketing principles

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other database concepts, as well as Project Management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Clickup, etc.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
