For 30 years and counting, Toon Boom Animation has been the global leader in preproduction and 2D animation software with clients in over 140 countries. The organization has made its mark with products which include Harmony (end-to-end animation) and Storyboard Pro (storyboarding and layout), which continue to build upon their reputation for high performance tools which push the limits of creativity. Producer (production management) and Harmony Gaming (drawing and animation tools for game development) are the most recent new products to join the line-up. Disney Television Animation, Bento Box, Fox Television Animation, Dog Head, Toei Animation, The SPA Studios, Xilam and Boulder Media, are just a few examples of our high profile clients.

Note that our primary workplace is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, but we welcome applications from candidates within the EST time zone in Canada, as we offer a flexible remote work environment.

🤩 What you'll do

As the Product Marketing Manager, you will be at the forefront of how our products are introduced to the market. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our products stand out in a competitive landscape, driving engagement and adoption through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Market Strategies: Design and implement go-to-market strategies for both existing and upcoming products.
  • Create Marketing Materials: Produce compelling content, including product demos, presentations, and multi-channel assets, that effectively communicate the value of our offerings.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth research to understand the competitive landscape, customer needs, and industry trends, informing your marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product Teams: Work closely with product teams to define and refine product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with our target audience.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop and deliver sales tools and training materials that empower the sales team to effectively promote our products.
  • Industry Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key industry influencers, partners, and customers to enhance product visibility and credibility.
  • Campaign Management: Plan, manage, and optimize marketing campaigns across digital platforms, social media, events, and webinars to maximize reach and impact.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using insights to refine strategies and achieve better outcomes.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide actionable insights to the product team to support ongoing product development and improvements.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments to ensure our products remain competitive and relevant.

🎯 What you'll need

  • You have strong experience in product marketing, preferably within the gaming industry and/or the animation industry.
  • You excel in both written and verbal communication, effectively conveying ideas and strategies.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling you to make data-driven decisions.
  • You thrive in a cross-functional team environment and enjoy working collaboratively with others.
  • You have experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, utilizing them to drive successful campaigns.

Bonus Points If:

  • You are familiar with animation software and tools such as Toon Boom Harmony, Spine, or Adobe Animate.
