The Marketing and Promotions Assistant is a part-time position for full-time Fanshawe College students participating in the Work Study Bursary Program. This role offers hands-on experience in marketing and promotions, supporting FSU's efforts to effectively market and promote its services and offerings. Students will balance this role with their academic responsibilities while working closely with the Marketing team on-campus.

Eligible Students

?Domestic Students at Fanshawe College must be a full-time registered student, in good academic standing, and meet financial needs assessment criteria

?International Students at Fanshawe College must be registered as a full-time student, have a valid study permit, and Social Insurance Number

Key Details:

  • Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend shifts.
  • Temporary Part-Time, January 2025 - April 2025
  • Location: Main campus - London

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance of Poster Boards (25%)

  • Update and maintain poster boards across campus weekly, ensuring compliance with FSU's poster board policies.
  • Remove outdated materials and display relevant marketing materials.

Social Media Content Support (30%)

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and schedule engaging content for FSU's social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media trends and assist with developing creative campaigns.

On-Campus Promotions (30%)

  • Assist the Marketing team with brainstorming and implementing creative campaigns to engage students.
  • Set up and manage promotional tables and on-campus activities.
  • Participate in ?Street Team? activities to promote FSU's initiatives and events.

Additional Duties (15%)

  • Perform other duties as assigned based on marketing needs and the student's skills and interests.

Requirement Qualifications:

  • Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student enrolled for the academic year in a marketing-related program (preference for students continuing their marketing studies until April 2026).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in marketing, social media, and promotions.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Reliable and dependable with a commitment to attending scheduled shifts and meeting deadlines.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for occasional use is an asset (e.g., travel between campuses).
