Position Summary:

The Digital Marketing Intern for Argus Hospitality Group provides valuable support in carrying out the day-to-day digital marketing duties of the organization. Focusing on third party website content updates and SEO website updates for our direct websites. This role supports all locations including: Argus Properties, Eldorado Resort, Four Points by Sheraton and Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Kelowna Airport, and Home2Suites by Hilton Fort St John.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:

• Work in collaboration with the Marketing team to assist website edits, department marketing requests, online guest experience management, newsletter development, blog writing, advertisements, and other marketing materials
• Running reports and tracking of marketing efforts both on third parties / internal marketing campaigns
• Updating hotel materials images and information on all third-party websites
• Assist with preparing arrival for media guests including building out profiles and planning of itineraries and communications to property level teams on media / influencer arrivals
• Assistance with graphic design of menus, posters & digital media
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive employee services with a ?lead by example' attitude
• Assist in managing event ticket sales & events sites such as Eventbrite / Tock
• Attend special events including long weekends, holidays, and special resort events for marketing purposes
• Other related duties and tasks as assigned

What are we looking for?

To successfully fill this role, the Digital Marketing Intern should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

• Understanding of word press would be an asset
• Completing Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Business or Marketing preferred
• Graphic design experience is required - preferred program experience in adobe photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, Canva
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
• Highly computer literate with capability in MS Outlook,, MS Office and knowledge of Mailchimp, and TravelClick/Amadeus is an asset
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills
• Strong work ethic with the flexibility to adjust hours when required
