POSITION SUMMARY
SvN Architects
- Planners is looking for a proposal specialist / graphic designer for our Vancouver Studio. In this role, you will work within the Business Development and Marketing team, closely collaborating with the brand manager and studio leadership to creatively develop visually innovative design concepts that support proposal, award and speaking submissions; internal and external communications; conceptual pitch packages for branded assets, prospectus and decks; special projects; swag and gifts; and public relations and social media initiatives.
This role requires an organized and strategic creative designer who is eager to bring a confident and fresh perspective to our team. You must be proactive, detail-oriented, agile, results-focused, passionate about great quality work, and highly collaborative. In addition, you must bring versatility and a broad knowledge of design principles and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or similar in graphic design, fine arts, or journalism
- 3+ years of experience as a graphic designer
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong portfolio showcasing design projects across various digital platforms
- An understanding of design requirements for disability legislation compliance for both Ontario (AODA) and British Columbia (Accessible British Columbia Act) will be considered an asset
- Familiarity with video editing and animation is considered an asset
- Well-versed in design standards and document management processes across all print and digital materials
- Strategic mindset with the ability to solve complex design challenges
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in the coordination of printing and distribution of materials
- Expertise in web content maintenance using WordPress
- Creative asset organization and management
- Exceptional time management
- Strong conceptual and detail-oriented design skills, with the ability to take a project from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
The salary range for this role is $60,000 - 65,000 or commensurate based on experience.
