NGIF Capital is hiring for its subsidiary organization NGIF Accelerator a Communications Coordinator to write Communications content, implement and oversee the company's communications work plan to elevate its image, strengthen its reputation, and promote its identity and values. This role is integral to maintaining a consistent and positive public presence for the company while fostering effective stakeholder engagement.

About the NGIF Accelerator
NGIF Accelerator is the not-for-profit arm of NGIF Capital and operates all technology and innovation programs. The NGIF Accelerator mandate is to de-risk and accelerate technology development by supporting startups through their pilot projects, field trials, and industry validation. It will coordinate with federal and provincial governments to co-fund projects to advance market commercialization. NGIF Accelerator currently operates the Industry Grants program and administers the NGIF Emissions Testing Centre program.
Responsibilities
The Communications Coordinator, with oversight from the President and CEO, is responsible for the activities of the communications work plan to enhance the company's image and reputation, and to promote its identity and values, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. This will include:
· Write content for both print and web including the company website, video, brochures, and newsletter.
· Plan and implement a communications strategy.
· Monitor the company's social media and online presence.
· Organize and direct promotional events.
· Recommend techniques to improve the company's public image.
· Make sure that all promotional and marketing materials meet the company's brand identity strategy.
· Identify and resolve any issues with promotional content in a timely and professional manner.
· Serve as point of contact for media and public questions.
· Assess and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies.
· Coordinate meetings, press conferences, and presentations.
Who are you
· 1-3 years of relevant experience - creating content, creative development/design, and editing skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Communication Skills must be impeccable - must be able to speak clearly and professionally.
· Proven clarity and creativity in all forms of communication.
· Excellent presentation skills - must be comfortable speaking in front of a room.
· Effectively coordinate and interface with various departments.
· Ability to take direction and produce quality work in a limited timeframe.
· Coordinate multiple tasks within established timelines.
· Ability to organize, manage time, and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
· University degree not required but a Bachelor's Degree in Communications is a plus.
· Proficiency with InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a plus.
