JOB DESCRIPTION

The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for supporting an effective two-way communications plan for our national, decentralized organization. The successful candidate will be an expert listener and communicator, partnering with the National Support Centre (NSC) team and leaders in the field to ensure communications flow fluidly and transparently.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Communications

  • Support a two-way communication strategy between our NSC and Profit Centres
  • Write and edit content for various internal and external communications and documents
  • Determine effectiveness of communications to ensure the right message is being received

Intranet

  • Maintain internal communication platform
  • Meet with stakeholders to assess and make necessary changes and improvements to functionality, design, and content of the intranet to reflect the company's needs

Marketing Support

  • Work with NSC departments to develop/design communications and marketing materials

Website Support

  • Support with development of public facing websites

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, or related field.

Experience: Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience.

TECHNICAL/ PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Experience with social media and website content creation
  • Knowledge of Web User Interface Design (UI), WordPress, and SharePoint
  • Web development experience considered an asset
  • Video editing experience with knowledge of Adobe PremierPro considered an asset

PHYSICAL EFFORT & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Remote (with online interactions)
  • Occasional travel to National Support Centre in London
  • A high level of concentration for prolonged periods is required

  • Bilingual in English and French an asset
