In this job, you will...

  • Create and manage engaging content for website, social media, email campaigns, and other member communications.
  • Proactively source stories, testimonials, and updates to highlight the organization's work and impact.
  • Develop and implement a social media calendar, ensuring timely and consistent posting.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and adjust content strategies accordingly.
  • Manage multimedia content creation (graphics, videos, infographics) to enhance digital presence and organize library for efficient use.
  • Plan, buy and operate advertising.
  • Draft, edit and proofread communications materials, including newsletters, media releases, reports and website copy.
  • Plan, execute and track campaigns across various platforms to support our advocacy efforts and member-focused programming.
  • Track media coverage - both BCCFP mentions and relevant industry news.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all external and internal communications.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support messaging and other needs for campaigns, initiatives and events.
  • Track and analyze website and social media performance, providing recommendations for optimization.
  • Use SEO best practices to improve search rankings and visibility.
  • Support the new website project via content review, proofreading, fact-checking and more.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies to engage members and stakeholders effectively.
  • Assist in planning and promoting member-focused events, webinars and initiatives.
  • Gather feedback from members and stakeholders to inform future communications strategies.

You have...

  • 3+ years' experience in marketing, communications or related fields.
  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management, website content management (WordPress or similar), and email marketing tools.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar).
  • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights).
  • An ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and work independently.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
