Our Events & Programming Department is looking for a dedicated Event Experience Lead to join the team.
Position Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:
- Regular communication and coordination with the Event Supervisor.
- Estimating and scheduling Guest Services and security personnel.
- Preparing incident and medical reports, supporting emergency response and contingency planning.
- Managing post-event follow-ups including invoice tracking and entry/collection of event-related information.
Guest Experience Development
- Collaborating with the Event Supervisor and Event Marketing teams to enhance and implement the Guest Experience initiative.
Guest Services Lead On Event Day
- Serving as the Guest Services Lead for smaller-scale events and supporting the Event Supervisor during larger events.
- Coordinating the Guest Services team, assigning positions, providing in-event support, and conducting post-event debriefs, including submission of incident and medical reports.
Onboarding And Training Of Casual Staff
- Assisting with the onboarding process for new Guest Services staff and delivering ongoing training for both new and returning team members.
- Ensuring completion of all mandatory City of Grande Prairie training and adherence to policies.
Event Day Support
- Assisting with various event day tasks such as signage placement, managing credentials, vendor/contractor check-ins, reviewing venue layouts, and ensuring compliance with AGLC policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Pro-Serve, First Aid, Criminal Record Check
- Certificate or diploma in staff management
- 2 or more years of customer service, staff management, and emergency response planning.
Hours
The standard workweek consists of an average of 35 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.
Compensation
Salary range $29.88 - $38.65 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement.
