POSITION: Marketing Communications Coordinator

Are you passionate about natural health and wellness? As Canada's largest trade association dedicated to natural, organic and wellness products, we're seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Marketing & Communications Coordinator for a 12 to 14-month contract role. Working closely with our MarComm team, your work will amplify our message and influence, bringing campaigns and communications to life in ways that make a real difference.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications, you'll play a key role in bringing our campaigns, content, and member communications to life across multiple projects and channels. Your coordination skills, eye for detail, and ability to keep projects moving will directly support our mission to deliver meaningful value and engagement to our members.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Senior Manager, Communications, (and the wider Marcomm team) you will be responsible for supporting our team in all our marketing and communication efforts across multiple projects, campaigns, and channels. It's because of your eye for detail, organizational skills, and knack for coordination that we deliver member value and engagement through all that we do. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing all email campaigns for distribution. This includes preparing audience segmentation lists, uploading content, and circulating drafts for reviews and approvals
- Coordinating the organization, uploading, and scheduling of social media content across all platforms, managing community engagement and responses, and collaborating with the Senior Manager, Communications to contribute to the development of social media content
- Keeping our content and editorial calendar up to date. This includes ensuring project leads are aware of any upcoming deadlines for ads or editorials so they can build creative with enough lead time and hit deadlines
- Organizing, uploading, and auditing our website content so that articles are published according to plan and our website content remains fresh and current
- Organizing all member/sponsor assets (e.g. ads, logos, tool kits) ensuring that both our internal team and external stakeholders have what they need to execute with success
- Communicating with external partners, reminding them of various due dates, marketing opportunities and required assets
- Liaising with our graphics team, translator and agencies as required to keep projects on track.
- Support our PR efforts, including identifying supporting natural, organic and wellness trends and brands
- Supporting our industry reporting by helping to curating industry new stories, member mentions and trending topics as relevant to our industry.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business administration, or related field.
Experience
- Internships or entry-level experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Hands-on experience with social media management, content creation, and event coordination.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Digital marketing knowledge, including social media platforms, email marketing, and analytics
- Creative skills for developing marketing materials and campaigns
- Analytical skills to measure campaign performance and adjust strategies
- Computer proficiency, including tools like CRM systems, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office.

- Willingness to travel for events or promotional activities.
Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000 annually
