ASEBP is looking for an experience marketing professional to join our dynamic Communications Services team in Edmonton. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of marketing and promotion strategies to meet ASEBP's strategic goals. With a focus on our retirement benefit plan, the successful candidate will analyze market trends, identify opportunities and advise on marketing campaigns to optimize and grow this service.

Our ideal candidate has three to seven years of experience in marketing, a keen attention to detail, and understand the impactful role of marketing on business development. They should also be comfortable working in a busy hybrid work environment with varying deadlines and adhering to the ASEBP brand.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work with external parties to obtain market comparisons, cost forecasting, environmental scanning and risks.
  • Analyze market conditions, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify marketing opportunities and challenges, with a focus on the My Retiree Plan (MRP) and other individual products.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing, advertising, and public relations strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Develop content and strategies for direct and digital marketing campaigns across various platforms.
  • Oversee the execution of campaigns, ensuring they are delivered effectively and on time.
  • Working with both internal and external stakeholders to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with both Member and Client Experience teams to ensure that all stakeholder facing engagements are at the level of professionalism and engagement that our stakeholders expect, including reviewing training as needed.
  • Develop and maintain social media presence and content to engage stakeholders and manage their reviews.
  • Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance playbooks for stakeholder engagement to drive success.
  • Attend in-person presentations, teachers' conventions, retiree seminars etc. to audit and ensure campaigns are presented and delivered according to standards developed in collaboration with Member and Client Experience Teams.
  • Gather insights from both members of the MRP, active plan members, and association stakeholders to inform campaign development and plan design.
  • Work with the plan design analyst to bring forward insights for plan design consideration.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Your Education and Experience

  • A degree or diploma in marketing.
  • Three to seven years of demonstrated experience working in a marketing role.
  • Fluent in both French and English is an asset.
  • Experience working with the public health sector and/or benefit industry would be an asset.

  • Strong understanding of modern digital marketing techniques, tools, and platforms.
  • The ability to analyze data, interpret marketing metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build client relationships, lead teams, and present information effectively.
  • A creative and innovative mindset for developing unique and engaging marketing campaigns.
  • The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners, including leading meetings and public speaking.
  • Sound knowledge of marketing principles, with an ability to manage campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Experience with the creation and distribution of marketing materials and content, such as website copy, social media posts, and promotional materials.
  • Knowledgeable in engagement principles and execution
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with demonstrated strength in organizing workflow and priorities to meet business and client needs.
  • Fluency with a variety of web CMS, digital properties (e.g. Google Analytics, G4A, SEOs, MailChimp, Alchemer, Canva).

Unique Working Conditions

You will be working with groups across the province, so some travel will be required in this role. This position is eligible to participate in the hybrid workforce program.
