Viral Nation is hiring an Account Director, Influencer Marketing. Reporting to the VP, Client Services the Account Director, Influencer Marketing will be responsible for the management and growth of top global clients across a variety of diverse industries. This role will take ownership of key client relationships, and responsible for managing, executing and measuring the deployment of strategic Marketing campaigns for both AOR (agency of record) and project-based programs.

The incumbent is a strong leader and strategically positions and leads their team towards success within the agency and clients' business. Guiding their team on the ins and outs of top-tier client communications and management.

With an entrepreneurial spirit, the incumbent is collaborative and understands the value in working and learning from others within the company to provide the best experience possible for a client. Deeply understands the goals, drivers, and needs of others. The Account Director, Influencer Marketing is responsible for leading a team of dedicated staff, managing multiple campaigns for multiple accounts simultaneously, while always keeping business goals top of mind.

The incumbent is a skilled negotiator, experienced in managing and growing a book of business and eager to collaborate with all business units to offer an optimal client experience for each account they manage. With a strong understanding of trusted advisory and Value Based Selling by delivering strategic insights paired with meaningful execution. Collaborating with all business units internally to structure and deploy client budgets, with a knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and metrics.

The incumbent has a strong understanding of the modern marketing mix for businesses and understands the ever changing market dynamics of the Creator economy. The Account Director, Influencer Marketing has a strong pulse on social culture, trends, platform changes, and overall digital marketing landscape (including challenges, painpoints, innovations). You must be driven to go above and beyond for the needs of your clients and possess a strong creative and collaborative drive for the job. You are a leader, a partner, and a go-getter, curious and eager to innovate, test, fail, and learn.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build rapport and grow strong relationships with your clients, peers and senior stakeholders through the demonstration of industry knowledge and the application of best business practices
  • Ensure collaboration between Business Development, Strategy and Client Services to scale and grow your book of business with existing and new clients
  • Manage all aspects of the client business providing exceptional client service while maximizing business opportunities
  • Be a trusted advisor to your clients, team members and peers through the demonstration and thorough understanding of influencer and social media marketing
  • Guide decision-making and provide credible counsel to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead your team through example and ensure all team members are delegated work appropriate to their expertise, skill level and seniority
  • Maintain an open and clear line of communication among your clients, peers and team members
  • Motivate your team to deliver the Viral Nation standard of excellence to make certain that the client feels confident in the work that is being produced
  • Mentor your team to maximize each individual's growth to become leader in their role
  • Continuously keep learning and adapting to industry trends, news, innovations and regulations related to social media and influencer marketing, while sharing the knowledge with your team
  • Have a thorough understanding of the services and capabilities Viral Nation offers to clients across influencer, social media and performance marketing

Other Responsibilities include :

  • Establish and grow a strong relationship with multiple senior client stakeholders through a demonstration of industry knowledge and of the application to business challenges
  • Work closely with Business Development and Client Excellence teams to identify revenue opportunities and lead organic growth for existing clients
  • Manage multi-disciplinary team ensuring all team members are delegated work appropriate for their level and experience and that the team remains challenged and engaged
  • Manage all aspects of the client business providing superior customer service while maximizing business opportunities
  • Develop and motivate the Account team to deliver the highest standards in leadership, insight, delivery and spirit in the industry, as seen by clients and internal partners
  • Mentor the team to maximize individuals' growth, and harness the strengths and opportunities of each team member
  • Acts as a positive role model through example
  • Proactively keep abreast of industry trends and share knowledge with team

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years experience in the digital marketing field (agency experience preferred)
  • Experience leading digital-first campaigns, influencer management considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once with strong leadership and presentation skills
  • Direct client service experience
  • Proven track record of client and team success
  • Have a bias towards action and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
  • Proficient with Google Drive software (Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides)
