Position: Marketing Project & Packaging Coordinator Reports to: Sr. Marketing Director

We are looking for a Marketing Project and Packaging Coordinator to join our Marketing team. The Marketing Project and Packaging Coordinator is responsible for managing timelines, milestones, and tasks regarding the development of all marketing materials and assigning them to the appropriate team members. You will keep all projects on track and ensure projects are delivered within the timelines. You will also lead all new and revised packaging projects for our Private Label customers.

Opportunities

In this role, you will coordinate the project workflow of all marketing projects and related activities. You will ensure each task is scheduled within Wrike, our project management software, and all deliverables are received on time. You will also work with our external partners with regards to service delivery and project completion. Therefore, exceptional communication and organizational skills are vital in this role in order to be successful. As the Private Label packaging lead, you will work with external customers to create packaging for new products, manage edits, gather feedback from key stakeholders through Ziflow, packaging review software, and ensure all legal requirements are met. You will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative and creative team and help us further develop and strengthen our brands.

  • Understanding of food packaging; printing, regulations and functionality
  • Experience with project management software such as Wrike

things you will do...

  • Responsible for scheduling all projects within the marketing team and managing timelines with clear communication to all stakeholders
  • Participate in regular check-in meetings with brand and creative teams, as well as project status meetings to review projects with internal stakeholders
  • Champion all private label packaging activities
  • Manage all private label customer portal entries requests and on-going communication
  • Main point of contact with external suppliers and partners for private label projects

OTHER ...

  • May on occasion work at various times including weekends, as the job requires
  • May travel to and represent the company at tradeshows in Canada and the United States

Detailed Description of Duties

  • Receive project requests, review creative briefs for accuracy, build out tasks and assign to appropriate parties via Wrike
  • Track deadlines, communicate with internal or external teams regarding those deadlines
  • Collect group feedback and communicate that quickly and clearly to creative liaison or team member
  • Set and attend regular check-in meetings with brand and creative teams
  • Regular meetings to review projects, status and timeline with Brand leads
  • Be the keeper of all Private Label digital files of packaging and all other marketing collateral
  • Manage all new packaging development and revisions for private label products
  • Distribute proofs, circulate for approval, obtain sign-off.
  • Complete all private label customer portal entries and manage on-going communication
  • Liaise with printers to gather proofs and drawdowns while managing timelines
  • Stay up to date with industry packaging requirements
  • Serve as a logistical point of contact for external design firms, as needed.
  • Attend meetings and take notes regarding the development of marketing collateral, including packaging, point of sales materials, coupons, sell sheets, advertisements, trade show materials, videos, website pages, social media campaigns, demo collateral, and other print or digital materials, as needed.
