What you'll do:

Your role as the Segment Marketing Manager, Public Sector will involve spearheading the creation of detailed marketing strategies tailored to the needs of each segment. By working closely with various marketing teams, you ensure that each marketing initiative is integrated and synchronized with segment-specific objectives. Using your deep industry expertise you will establish impactful relationships with key Partners and influencers within the ecosystem, amplifying Geotab's market presence and solidifying its position as a leader in the Public Sector market. Your focus on effective communication and coordination is key to maximizing the impact of all marketing efforts. Ultimately, you will create a unified and strategic marketing approach that bolsters the Public Sector revenue targets.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Lead the development of comprehensive marketing strategies for all assigned segments and mobilize cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall segment business goals.
  • Define overall segment marketing targets for all assigned segments to align with Sales goals and targets and distill them across Marketing.
  • Develop an overall marketing strategy for the assigned segments that targets ideal customer profiles and priority market tiers and personas to drive new customer acquisition, existing account expansion, and retention of existing customer base.
  • Continuously gather and synthesize industry trends, competitive intelligence, and market drivers to identify opportunities and threats and convert these into insights, strategy, and actions with a feedback loop into sales, marketing, channel, and product.
  • Articulate Geotab's unique value proposition across the assigned segments and align strategies with key purchase drivers, integrating them into segment playbooks and strategy briefs.
  • Partner with business development to create and execute segment and account-specific growth strategies and plans to drive brand awareness, market position, and segment demand.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion within the target segment to inform tailored marketing campaigns, and analyze data to optimize performance and achieve growth objectives.
  • Develop the marketing strategy for segment-specific partner programs as part of the overarching marketing strategy, ensuring effective collaboration with channel partners and optimizing the value chain for mutual success.
  • Serve as a thought leader, subject matter expert, and lead marketing advocate in the assigned segments.
  • Work with Sales to define event priorities including which segment industry events to participate in, strategic objectives for events including lead gen and customer engagement opportunities, and determine event messaging.
  • Create a robust relationship development and engagement strategy for chosen associations to enhance the company's visibility, influence, and networking prospects in the industry.
  • Drive annual and quarterly segment marketing forecasting, budget planning, target/KPA setting to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Forecast and measure the impact of marketing activities on sales pipeline and revenue; continuously evaluate the performance and ROI of the segment marketing plan against set objectives, adjusting tactics and strategy accordingly.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THIS ROLE:

  • Minimum 8+ years of proven experience in a marketing strategy role with preference at a B2B SaaS organization.
  • 3+ years experience in B2B Marketing in the assigned segments/sector.
  • Experience in telematics is advantageous.
  • Objective-focused, strategic, and outcomes-based mindset.
  • Outstanding cross-functional collaboration and exceptional communication skills.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects quickly.
  • Excellent storyteller and analytical thinker who can back ideas with customer and market insights
  • Experience writing compelling value propositions and operationalizing them through messaging, marketing collateral, sales materials and thought leadership content
  • Outstanding cross-functional collaboration and exceptional communication skills, coupled with a proven track record of cultivating robust relationships with sales teams.
  • Excellent project management, time management and problem solving skills with strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
