The Talent Acquisition Team plays an essential role in recruiting exceptional talent to become part of our organization. We take immense pride in scouting talent and ensuring both candidates and hiring leaders have a positive experience.

We're currently seeking a versatile and highly driven Lead, Talent Acquisition to join our team, who will be overseeing full-cycle recruitment for a range of roles in the OMERS corporate groups including finance, legal, and risk. In this role you will be instrumental in attracting, sourcing, screening, and ultimately hiring high quality talent for our enterprise. You will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders including hiring leaders, HR business partners, and other internal groups within the people experience team, for all recruitment-related matters. This role reports to the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition and will be based out of our Toronto head office.

We believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members. Our flexible hybrid work guideline requires teams to come to the office a minimum of 3+ days per week.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

Acting as the talent advisory and managing the full cycle recruitment process for assigned portfolios including job postings, identifying, screening and interviewing candidates, offer package negotiation and contributing to a positive onboarding experience.

Building and delivering hiring strategies to build a diverse pipeline of candidates through sourcing channels such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, Workday, etc.

Establishing connections, maintaining and leveraging a professional online and social media presence, and prospecting top talent through your network.

Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with HR Business Partners, People Experience teams and hiring leaders.

Providing trusted advice to hiring managers by using diverse interviewing and assessment techniques to validate candidate experience.

Representing OMERS as main point of contact for all candidates' correspondence and delivering a best-in-class candidate experience by managing your talent pipeline, acknowledging all applicants, and engaging in regular communication.

Display strong labor market knowledge with trends and competitor information, providing business partners with insights and recommendations that will improve the quality of external hire.

Providing training, coaching and mentorship to associates within the Talent Acquisition team

Maintaining accurate recruitment data and records in our applicant tracking system (ATS).

Reviewing and presenting recruitment metrics to Hiring Leaders.

Provide cross-functional coverage for team members supporting other portfolios within the Experienced Hires team.

Leading and contributing to process improvement projects across Talent Acquisition and within broader HR team.

To succeed in this role, you have:

6+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience within a corporate environment; and experience supporting finance, legal, and/or risk teams would be considered an asset.

Completion of post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.

Strong proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Workday experience is highly preferred.

Experience with a recruitment CRM would be an asset.

Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to pull reports and synthesize data to tell a story.

Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced matrix environment, always being responsive, with a strong sense of urgency.

Proven experience as an independent, resourceful self-starter with excellent judgment.

Willing to work flexible hours to meet challenging and changing deadlines.

Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills and an ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.

Adaptability and exceptional time management skills

Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
