Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a key member of our Human Resources team and participates in full-lifecycle recruitment, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring the best employees for Calian. You will partner with hiring managers and consult with them promptly to identify, assess, and source candidates. Your skillsets will be used to attract, hire, and retain the best employees while growing a pipeline to enable Calian's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HRBPs and hiring managers to understand hiring requirements, strategize and implement recruitment plans, and assist in the creation of professional job descriptions for internal and external use
  • Post and renew job advertisements on various online sites and job boards
  • Use all relevant tools and resources to attract and obtain diverse, qualified candidates
  • Represent Calian at career events and develop relationships with candidates
  • Review candidate resumes, conducting screening interviews, and recommend top talent to hiring managers
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of top talent for pro-active recruiting
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing ongoing communication and guidance throughout the recruitment cycle
  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with hiring managers, providing strategic guidance and advice as a trusted talent partner
  • Conduct reference checks and highlight findings to hiring manager
  • Negotiate offer details with candidates (rates, terms of employment, start dates, etc.)
  • Stay on top of the recruiting industry trends and best practices
  • Maintain accurate records in our Applicant Tracking System
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in recruiting projects as required

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • 1-2 years of full-lifecycle recruitment experience
  • Strong understanding of recruiting best practices and legislation
  • Experience with social media and other methods of networking such as LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Experience with Success Factors is an asset
