We are currently hiring a Regular Full-Time Senior Software Developer Analyst, Integrations (SSDA) to provide seamless development and delivery of BCAA information security integration solutions.

This role is based in our Burnaby, BC Head Office, which supports a hybrid work environment. Commuting to our office 2 days a week will be required as part of this role.

As a SSDA, you'll launch an exciting IT career by performing code and configuration which includes enhancements and production defect fixes, and provide supplementary documentation (i.e. design, test plans, data and expected results). This team is responsible for a wide variety of systems and applications, including integration architecture such as Amazon MQ, Lambda functions, Athena, Airflow, Informatica MDM, Mulesoft, and others. You will be constantly learning and growing in this role.

What you bring:

  • Degree or Diploma in Computing Science.
  • At least 7 years of software development experience, preferably with Mulesoft.
  • At least 3 years of integration developer experience.
  • At least 5 years of Java programming experience, or other equivalent languages.
  • Experience in relational databases, such as Oracle or SQL.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python.
  • Experience with the Agile or Kanban approaches to software development.
Bonus Skills!
  • Mulesoft Developer or Architect Certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Experience in designing and/or implementing enterprise integration architecture.
  • Experience in implementing APIs on ESB using REST/web services.
  • Experience with Amazon EMR and Amazon EKS.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD.
  • Good understanding of APIs, microservices, and integration patterns connecting cloud and on-premise applications
  • Experience in creating integrations for Salesforce and/or Guidewire.
  • Experience developing in Informatica MDM.
  • Experience in leading a team and/or mentoring more junior team members.
  • Varied technical background.

Once you're here, you'll:

  • Perform development, testing and implementation of integration solutions, including design, coding, configuration, maintenance, installation, testing, and debugging.
  • Help less experienced developers.
  • Create technical documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Scope, estimate, and schedule work on tasks and projects.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts or other developers to interpret functional requirements.
  • Create work breakdown tasks based on functional requirements.
  • Perform system analysis or architectural tasks.
  • Make independent technical decisions on issues with own project work.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our current integrations and provides ideas for improvement of the integrations.
  • Remain current on technology and provides guidance to management on implementing these.
  • Be available for on-call support and system release support.?

The salary range for this position is $94,091.52 to $117,614.40, plus a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.?
