The successful candidate will be the key contact for residential windows, doors, custom closets and garage interior finishes, from the initial client discovery meeting to coordinating and executing the installation (and everything in between). The candidate will also work closely with another team member on kitchens and cabinetry.

Target start date: ASAP (to ensure adequate training and overlap with the current employee can be provided)

Schedule: 40/hr work week, Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm (with the rare requirement to work outside of these hours)

Wage: $32-40/hr, depending on education and experience

Benefits: 3 weeks' vacation to start, benefits, flexible work schedule, additional paid days off throughout the year and training is provided. In addition, a company vehicle could be provided for the right candidate.

Note: there is a 6-month probationary period

Successful Candidate Will

• Consult with customers to determine needs and preferences and advise on selection of colours, finishes, materials and more
• Work closely with contractors, team members, consultants and customers
• Present and refine design concepts through customer feedback
• With minimal supervision, manage all aspects of the project, including schedule and budget
• Admin duties as necessary
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in residential construction
• Understanding of building codes, material applications, space planning, construction drawings and specifications
• Team player who can build strong relationships with the team, customers and contractors
• Flexible to adapt in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and multitask
• Excellent problem-solving skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills
• Must have vehicle, driver's license and clean driver's abstract
