Employment Opportunity: Communications & Community Manager

Location: Remote. The C&C Manager will be required to attend on-site events and in-person meetings regularly in Metro Vancouver. Some travel to destinations in BC may be required.

Employment Type: This is a temporary, full-time contract position funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE), August 1, 2024 - March 31, 2026

Annual Salary: $70,000

Job Overview :

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Communications & Community Manager. Reporting to the WORTH Executive Director and working alongside the Operations Manager, Board members and volunteers, this position will be instrumental in supporting the organization's reach, impact, and growth. This role involves supporting marketing objectives, detailed data analysis, and engaging with members to drive our advocacy and fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to our mission.

Key Responsibilities :

Marketing and Communications:

? Marketing Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans including content creation, advertising, and branding to raise awareness of the nonprofit's activities.

? Media Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all media inquiries, managing inbound requests and conducting proactive outreach to enhance the organization's visibility and reputation.

? Content Creation and Management: Create and manage persuasive content across various channels, including social media, the website, and email campaigns, with a focus on gender equality initiatives, EDI projects, and advocacy measures.

? Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with the Executive Director, Operations Manager, and committee leads for success stories, program updates, and impact reports.

? Collateral Design and Production: Oversee the design and production of marketing, fundraising and promotional materials.

? Target Audience Engagement: Identify and engage target audiences through various platforms.

? Team Management: Manage a team of committee members and volunteers dedicated to marketing and communications efforts.

Community Measurement and Analysis:

? Data Collection: Host online focus groups and conduct surveys to gather perspectives from equity seeking groups.

? Membership and Audience: Measure the reach and engagement of new and existing members, donors, volunteers, and partners.

? Engagement Metrics: Monitor and analyze engagement metrics across all marketing channels, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize performance.

? Database: Disaggregate and analyze data from our database based on intersecting identity markers, and gather membership data to inform and enhance our advocacy strategy.

? Program and Events: Measure attendee satisfaction and program attendance.

? Data Presentation: Transform complex data into compelling narratives and visuals.

? Growth and ROI: Measure donor growth rates and evaluate the return on investment (ROI) for fundraising campaigns.

Donor and Fundraising Management:

? Engagement and Retention: Monitor and optimize donor engagement efforts to enhance donor retention and satisfaction.

? CRM Management: Oversee all aspects of a non-profit CRM system and integrate it with our systems.

? Impact Assessment: Create an annual report to measure our growth through an assessment of the KPI's we set for impact, activity and capacity to share with members and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

- Proven experience in supporting marketing and fundraising initiatives.

- Experience in a non-profit or equity-serving association is an asset.

- Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing, and content creation.

- Experience with database management and data analysis tools.

Skills and Competencies:

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficient in copywriting and a compelling storyteller.

- Marketing skills including brand consistency, audience engagement, donor acquisition, content strategy, digital advertising, SEO marketing, social media management, and website development.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficient in using CRM systems and data analysis software.

- Technical proficiency in software including Canva, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Surveymonkey, Google Analytics, Google Workspace.

- Graphic design skills to create compelling visual content

- Commitment to the mission and values of WORTH Association.

- Understanding of equity serving groups
