Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating meaningful marketing and brand experiences across different OECM audiences and communities. This involves brainstorming, strategizing, envisioning, and executing great brand experiences.
The ideal candidate has a passion and drive to create meaningful marketing and brand experiences across different OECM audiences and communities. You can confidently work with a Marketing and Communications team to brainstorm, strategize, envision, and execute great brand experiences.
You keep abreast of emerging trends and best practices related to digital marketing, web design, user experience, and social media.
Major Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Graphic and Video Design
Advanced design skills required; including graphics and videos, tailored to target audiences, ensuring brand consistency and relevance.
Photography experience is an asset.
Content Development
Design and execute original, creative, and effective marketing campaigns that align with OECM's brand and vision.
Experience writing campaigns is an asset.
SEO and Optimization
Incorporate best practices for SEO to enhance the visibility and reach of digital content across platforms.
Social Media Strategy & Performance
Develop and implement a data-driven social media strategy across all platforms.
Regularly track, measure, and optimize social media performance using advanced tools.
Website Support
Support the Web Manager to review digital marketing requests from internal stakeholders and assist with basic web page edits.
Offer suggestions to enhance and optimize OECM's website to improve engagement, and digital visibility.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
A college certificate or diploma in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years progressive work experience in a communications, multi-channel and/or digital marketing and design role.
Experience with marketing, graphic design, digital content production, web design, and community management (combination of communications, digital/website management and social media).
Knowledge of various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices i.e. social, digital, and email marketing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products including Illustrator/InDesign and Photoshop.
Experience with content management systems, new media technologies, WordPress, MS Dynamics, etc.
Knowledge of metrics including use of Google Analytics; Knowledge of PowerBI is an asset.
Experienced in design thinking as it relates to the customer experience.
