We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Specialist - Events & Sponsorships for an 18-24-month contract covering a leave here in the Collingwood office.
The Marketing Specialist - Events & Sponsorships will work with the Director, Marketing & Communications and the marketing team to develop and execute our events and sponsorship campaigns and initiatives.
You Will:
- Develop the plan and budget for events where our brands have a sponsorship, activation, or involvement, and execute the events while engaging with partners and event participants.
- Contribute to the creation of a meaningful and impactful program that generates brand awareness, engages the community, and is executed with an eagle-eye level of detail and organizational skills.
What your day to day looks like:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and execution of events including trade shows, music festivals, Tin Shack sales meetings, and company and community events.
- Maximize the opportunity to build new relationships with contacts and organizers through strong event management and post-event stewardship.
- Create and disseminate event instructions and details for support staff or sales reps who will be attending and participating.
- Keep reps, volunteers, sponsors, and other key stakeholders informed and involved throughout the event cycle.
- Oversee post-event coordination, including but not limited to debrief meetings, reports, and summaries for the senior team.
- Represent Tin Shack and our brands at local events or happenings in the community.
- Coordinate translation and collaboration with external partners.
- Support the Director, Marketing & Communications with various projects, including product samples, PR initiatives, reports for brand presentations, and ad hoc needs as required.
- Assist with B2C and B2B MailChimp and Klaviyo campaigns from scheduling, testing, and analytics. (ad hoc)
- Support the marketing team through program launches and various marketing initiatives.
- Ensure that everything you do drives awareness of our brands and success for our partners.
- Collaborate, coordinate, administrate, and support with boundless positivity and energy.
- Manage a large number of tasks and projects with calm confidence.
- Provide exceptional proactive marketing support to a busy team who will appreciate your efforts.
You Are:
- An insanely organized and productive marketing professional with 5+ years in a similar role.
- Driven to elevate our brands for the joint success of the business and our retail partners.
- Digitally savvy with very strong technical skills (Monday.com, G-Suite, MS Office; social media platforms and content are a bonus!).
- Capable of having many balls in the air: help plan and execute a trade show - check! Review a sponsorship request and recommend it to your Director of Marketing - check! Plan an event for a music festival sponsorship - check! Review MailChimp or Klaviyo e-blasts - check!
- A master communicator who can take a good idea and make it great!
- Capable of pushing the boundaries to exceed timelines.
- A hopeless creative who wants to share, inspire, and grow.
- Articulate and (ideally) bilingual in English and French.
- Keen to work hard, play hard, and have some fun along the way!
