JOB DESCRIPTION
We're looking for a Marketing and Media Specialist to join our small but dedicated team. You'll work directly with our creative team under the CMO to execute a variety of media and marketing projects: from social media management, assistance in marketing campaigns, email campaigns, website optimization, and general creative tasks. You will play a meaningful role as Arctic Acres scales from a growing small business to an internationally recognized brand.
This is a flexible, part-time role with the potential to grow. You'll need to be self-motivated, hands-on, comfortable wearing multiple hats, adapting to new challenges and learning new skills along the way.
EXPERIENCE / CREDENTIALS
- Some hands-on experience in marketing and creative media (education, internships, direct job experience, and/or freelance work).
- Strong skills in several of the following: social media management, graphic design, content writing, campaign management, email marketing, video editing, web design, web development, AI marketing systems.
- Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Shopify, Google Workspace, Google/Meta Ads, or email platforms (e.g. Klaviyo) is a plus.
- A proficient and clear communicator who's organized, self-directed, and adaptive.
- Willingness to learn on the job, tackle new challenges, and take initiative, within a strategic framework of campaigns and objectives.
- An ability to manage full projects, not just individual tasks.
- Bonus if you have interest in sustainability, homesteading, horticulture, or off-grid living.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the creation and implementation of digital marketing campaigns across platforms (social media, email, web, and more).
- Design marketing materials, edit visual and written content, and contribute to our overall creative media strategy.
- Plan, schedule, and engage with audiences across social media platforms and email.
- Help maintain and update our website (Shopify CMS), landing pages, and product pages.
- Utilize tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and conversion metrics to help us maintain a results-driven approach.
- Lead small-scale media and creative projects from conception to completion.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in digital marketing and creative production.
- Work with a collaborative team to generate content that reflects our voice, values, brand goals, and strategic objectives.
