The Marketing & Events Specialist will be a member of a small, high-energy, creative, strategic and integrated team whose focus is to instigate and influence change, advance industry, and deliver extraordinary member value through advocacy, education and events.

With offices located close to Granville Island this opportunity provides for a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office and 2 days remote) and a competitive salary and benefits package that includes an employer paid RRSP program and free on-site parking.

A key role within the Marketing Communications function of a provincial construction association, the Marketing & Events Specialist will be:

• enthusiastic and curious
• a step ahead of their subjects, framing a photo and editing video that capture and convey key moments
• a strong writer who can transition easily between short and powerful posts to lengthier narratives
• a multi-tasking master with strong communication, project management, time management and relationship-building skills
• up to the minute on current events - politically and economically.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct related experience in a marketing communications role with at least 3 years in event management and coordination.
• A valid and clean BC Driver's License; access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work/attend events that are sometimes held in the evenings / weekends and throughout BC.

Experience working within a member association and/or in construction would be a definite asset!
