DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST
Job Posting: Digital Marketing Specialist
Hours:35 hours per week
Duration: 8 weeks
Remuneration: $16.55 per hour
About the Organization:
The Mennonite New Life Centre (MNLCT) is a vibrant, multi-cultural settlement agency for newcomers to Canada. The Centre provides a variety of settlement services, including information/orientation, language instruction, mental health supports and capacity building workshops, public education and bridging to employment. The Centre is a tech-forward charity that utilizes technology solutions to meet the needs of its stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Outreach & Marketing
- Manage and develop processes to support program teams in sharing their messages across multiple social media platforms
- Use digital communications tools to support the creation and execution of campaign materials for program participant recruitment, donation drives, and other Centre campaigns
- Write/edit emails, website content, and social media posts
- Engage with community agencies to promote MNLCT programs, services, and expertise
- Contribute to MNLCT's multimedia content bank through the creation of video clips, audio recordings, photographs, and other forms of media as needed
Research & Organization
- Conduct online and in-person research, ranging from collecting contact information for individuals/organizations to developing environmental scans for new projects/programs
- Develop work plans, coordinate stakeholder meetings, and manage work plan tasks to ensure successful project completion
Event Planning Support
- Support the development, execution, and evaluation of Centre events
- Assist with marketing and promotion of events to a broad range of stakeholders
- Provide other event support as required
General Communications & Administrative Support
- Assist in communications data collection and preparation of reports
- Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
- Provide communications support as required
Qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to work with multiple levels of stakeholders
- Experience in maintaining social media and website presence
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Accuracy and high attention to detail
- Experience in event organization
- Strong knowledge of office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Experience with digital communications tools such as Canva, Buffer, MailerLite, Eventbrite, Adobe, Google products (Ads, Analytics, My Business) is an asset
- Need to be a Permanent Resident, Canadian Citizen or a Refugee to be suitable for this position.
