Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada's first full-scale interactive gaming facility. The Marketing Analytics Leader is responsible for leading all aspects of the marketing analytics function, turning complex datasets into actionable insights. This includes extracting and transforming data from different data sources, creating in-depth analyses, and presenting the results to stakeholders. These analyses will have impact across the organization, guiding marketing campaigns, segmentations, and the customer journey. This is a full-time permanent position.

THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Analysis

  • Serve as primary analytics partner and trusted advisor to marketing leadership by analyzing data, surfacing insights, and making data-based recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting with clear metrics definitions, and an excellent user experience.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis based on business needs and translate data into easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations.
  • Create and oversee key performance indicators (KPI) to monitor and evaluate business performance.

Communication

  • Assess the effectiveness of customer touchpoints, including emails, SMS, and promotional campaigns.
  • Optimize advertising strategies to enhance impact across channels, driving traffic that translates into measurable results.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors to facilitate the integration of new technologies and tools.

Leadership

  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategy and resource allocation.
  • Leader of strategy, execution, and management of marketing analytics function.
  • Subject matter expert and thought leader in leveraging analytics to drive business results.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or other relevant degree
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and a strong business sense
  • 5+ years of experience in similar marketing analytics roles
  • Expert SQL skills and experience with Tableau, PowerBI, SAS, Python, or other similar tools
  • Experience measuring digital campaigns, analyzing customer data, optimizing customer journeys, creating segmentations, and developing KPI tracking processes
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines and execute flawlessly on projects in a fast-paced, often high-pressure environment, and see projects through to completion
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively with all levels of employees is critical
  • Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality while handling sensitive information
  • Ability to travel occasionally, up to 10% of the time
