Social Media Coordinator Intern (1 position available)
We are seeking a dynamic and spiritually engaged individual for the role of Social Media Coordinator Intern at Sherwood Park Alliance Church. This role is an exceptional opportunity for someone with a passion for social media and digital engagement in a nonprofit setting. This is a Government Grant position, requiring candidates to be between the ages of 15 - 30, and hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
Key Accountabilities:
- Integrate into the administrative dynamics of a nonprofit with a 35-member staff, focusing on digital communication within the communications department.
- Collaborate and Support Kids Ministry and Youth Ministry Social Media Efforts.
- Participate actively in a leadership training cohort designed to develop ministry leaders.
- Lead and innovate our social media outreach, creating impactful and inspiring content.
- Contribute to the enhancement and strategic development of our newly launched website.
Additional Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Undertake and complete the Abuse Prevention training process.
- Be present at staff meetings and staff chapels as they occur.
- Embrace and embody the ?Rule of Life? as embraced by the SPAC staff, adhering to the ethos and guidelines within the Staff Handbook.
Qualifications:
- Eligible age range: 15 - 30 years.
- Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
- Evident and evolving relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Collaborative team spirit and creativity to match.
- Proficient administrative and organizational abilities.
- Strong computer literacy with knowledge of social media platforms.
Working Hours: 35 hours weekly, compensated by an hourly wage.
Reporting to: Communications Manager - Sarah Dyck
Special Notes:
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
- Some weekends may be required
- Tentative internship duration: 16 weeks
