About this position
We are looking for a dynamic and driven sales professional with deep relationships in the Building Automation industry in Montreal to join our Automated Logic sales team. Recognized as a needle-mover capable of building brand presence and accelerating market penetration. Action-oriented and fearless in their approach, this individual thrives on identifying opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and delivering impactful results. A trusted advisor to clients and a key contributor to business growth in a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and aggressively pursue new business opportunities through bid/spec platforms, construction databases, and industry networking.
- Develop and nurture strong working relationships with major general/mechanical/electrical contractors, and consulting engineers in Montreal, focusing on establishing consistent terms, collaborative agreements, and long-term partnerships.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients to understand needs and deliver tailored building automation solutions.
- Review project documentation, perform take-offs, and interpret engineering drawings to support accurate and competitive proposals.
- Negotiate with potential customers and close sales aligned with company strategy and margin goals.
- Maintain opportunity and customer tracking in Salesforce.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to increase visibility and generate high-value leads.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of sales tools, processes, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance sales effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications
- High School / GED.
- 3+ years experience in building automation in the Quebec market.
- 2+ years experience in technical sales.
- Fluent verbal and written communication in both languages French and English.
- Valid and current Driver's License and can be insurable by the company's insurance due to the mobile nature of the job.
Preferred Qualifications (assets)
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with Bluebeam or Salesforce (nice to have).
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
- University technical degree / advanced technical degree (nice to have).
