Our customers are highly active on Facebook and Meta platforms, yet today our organic social presence is underutilized. We rely heavily on paid ads, which are execution-heavy and demand more creative assets than we can sustainably produce.

We believe organic social — done well — can become a core growth and brand channel, helping us differentiate from well-funded competitors, build trust, and create a real community around Plannit.

To make that happen, we’re hiring a Social Media & Community Manager to own our organic social strategy and execution end-to-end.

The objective of this role is to build a strong, consistent, and differentiated organic social presence, starting with Facebook and expanding from there.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Defining how Plannit shows up on social
  • Creating and executing a sustainable content strategy
  • Engaging with our audience and growing an active community
  • Analyzing what works (and what doesn’t) — and iterating quickly

This is a hands-on, owner role. You won’t just execute a calendar created by someone else — you’ll build it, run it, and improve it.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Social Strategy & Positioning

  • Develop Plannit’s organic social media strategy, with a strong focus on Facebook / Meta
  • Analyze competitors and identify content gaps and differentiation opportunities
  • Define content pillars that balance:
    • Education
    • Product value
    • Industry insights
    • Relatable, human content for home service professionals
  • Translate business and product priorities into engaging social narratives

Content Planning & Execution

  • Own and maintain a consistent social content calendar
  • Come up with creative, repeatable content formats that don’t require heavy production every month
  • Write clear, compelling copy in English and French
  • Repurpose existing assets (blogs, product updates, customer insights) into social-friendly content
  • Collaborate with internal teams when visuals or ideas are needed — but operate independently day to day

Community Management & Engagement

  • Actively engage with followers: comments, messages, reactions, and conversations
  • Foster a sense of community and trust, not just broadcasting content
  • Understand how to “show up” authentically on social for SMB operators
  • Monitor feedback and surface insights back to marketing, sales, and product

Performance & Optimization

  • Track organic performance across key metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, content performance)
  • Identify what resonates with our ICP and double down on it
  • Make data-informed recommendations to improve content and cadence
  • Align organic insights with paid efforts over time (without owning paid ads)

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3–5 years of experience managing organic social media for a brand or product
  • Strong understanding of Facebook / Meta as a primary channel
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Bilingual (English & French) — written fluency required
  • Experience analyzing competitors and adapting strategy accordingly
  • Comfortable owning both strategy and execution
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or SMB-focused products
  • Experience building or managing online communities
  • Familiarity with social analytics and content testing
  • Experience working alongside paid media teams or agencies
