Role Description

We're looking for a Marketing & Content Coordinator to support our growing creative community. This is a paid freelance, part-time role with ongoing collaboration, ideal for someone who enjoys working across content creation, marketing, and social media in a creative environment.

You will collaborate with a team, helping plan, create, and distribute content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing and social media strategy and plans
  • Create content ideas and scripts for short-form and long-form content
  • Capture photo and video content (community events, festivals, interviews, behind-the-scenes, reels etc.)
  • Edit video content and prepare assets for distribution
  • Schedule and publish content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
  • Manage social media activity: comments, DMs, community engagement
  • Monitor media industry and social media trends, analytics, and platform updates to optimize performance
  • Ensure all materials align with brand voice and storytelling goals
  • Keep content timelines organized and deliverables on track
  • Looking for new media outlets for exposure

Support creation of promotional materials for:

  • Social media
  • Newsletters
  • Events and community initiatives
  • Support additional marketing initiatives as needed

Requirements:

  • Strong written and spoken English (mandatory)
  • French is a bonus, but not required
  • Experience in marketing, content creation, and social media
  • Proficiency in video production and photography
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and trends
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Assets / Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with the film and creative industries
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Experience with Canva
  • Video editing and graphic design experience
  • Experience using social media scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar platforms)
  • Experience with newsletter or email marketing tools
  • Background in digital marketing, social media marketing, or content strategy
