Position Summary:
The Communications Intern assists the Communications team with day-to-day tasks such as creating content, conducting research, and coordinating projects. This role provides learning opportunities while helping the team in the delivery of clear, timely, and consistent communications aligned with TSSA's brand.
This is a student internship position starting January 2026 - April 2026 (420 hours).
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting content for newsletters, social media, and website updates under supervision.
- Support event and campaign planning and coordination by preparing materials, participating in brainstorming, contributing creative ideas and scheduling logistics.
- Conduct basic research to gather information for communication projects.
- Help analyze data and compile reports for review.
- Provide administrative support, such as organizing files and tracking requests.
- Respond to routine inquiries from internal stakeholders as directed.
- Perform other related duties or project-based tasks as required.
Job Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of digital analytics and trends is an asset.
- Ability to draft clear, concise, creative, and engaging content for various audiences.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritize work with guidance.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate professionally.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite and social media platforms; basic knowledge of content management systems is an asset.
- Open to exploring creative ideas and contributing suggestions to improve communication efforts.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and eager to learn new tools and processes.
Hiring Range Details: The hiring range for this role is $21/ hour. The hourly salary may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
