Sales Representative - Retail & On-Premise (Experienced)

Village Brewery / Calgary-Based (Alberta Territory)

Village Brewery is looking for an experienced Sales Representative to help grow our business across retail and on-premise accounts. Calgary is the core market, with some responsibility for select Alberta markets and occasional overnight travel.

This role is for someone who already understands how beverage alcohol sales work, knows the Calgary market, and can manage a territory independently while representing a strong local brand.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing and growing retail and on-premise accounts, opening new opportunities, and making sure Village is represented and strategic partnerships are executed properly in market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow retail and on-premise accounts, primarily in Calgary
  • Open new accounts, tap placements, menu features, and displays
  • Support select Alberta markets outside Calgary with some overnight travel
  • Execute tastings, staff training, promotions, and events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Ensure strong execution in market including pricing, inventory, and merchandising
  • Track activity and provide regular sales and market feedback

What Village is looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in beer or beverage alcohol sales
  • Experience selling into both retail and on-premise
  • Strong knowledge of the Calgary market; existing relationships are a plus
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Passion for craft beer and local brands
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to travel within Alberta when needed
