Our award-winning client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. In this exciting role, you will play a vital role in driving new business growth and building strong broker relationships.
Responsibilities :
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, including new lines of business, and implement strategies to retain existing broker partnerships.
- Partner with the Marketing team to create impactful marketing campaigns and develop top-tier marketing materials.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to understand trends and pricing strategies.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with brokers, address their needs, and integrate their feedback to improve processes.
- Analyze market opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and develop compelling business cases for product enhancements.
- Evaluate networking and trade show opportunities and take a lead role in representing the company at industry events.
Required Qualifications :
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a broker-facing insurance role, such as Underwriting or Business Development.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in sales or marketing.
- Active pursuit of or completion of a relevant insurance industry designation (CIP, FCIP, CRM).
- Strong understanding of broker workflows, operations, and technology.
- Proven ability to develop and manage relationships, negotiate effectively, and deliver impactful presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Southwestern Ontario.
