The Role

We are seeking a senior, technically credible Business Development Manager to lead growth across our high-angle and confined space services.

This role sits at the intersection of clients, engineering, and operations.

Your mandate is not simply to win work, but to ensure that the work we pursue aligns with Tatras' technical capability, operational capacity, and long-term strategy.

You will be responsible for building trusted relationships, shaping opportunities early, and ensuring that scope, risk, and expectations are clearly defined before projects are awarded.

Key Responsibilities

You will develop and manage long-term relationships with asset owners, general contractors, engineers, and facility and safety managers. You will lead opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid decisions, shape scope and pricing strategy, and position risk appropriately before work reaches operations.

You will support estimating and pre-construction with accurate, experience-based client intelligence, and you will represent Tatras as a technically grounded partner focused on safe, reliable execution- not as a commodity service provider.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a high-volume outbound sales role.

It is not commission-only.

It is not entry-level.

It is not transactional or product-based selling.

If your experience is primarily built on cold calling, sales funnels, or selling simple, low-risk services, this role will likely not be a fit.

Who We're Looking For

You likely come from one of the following backgrounds:

- A Project Manager or Senior PM in civil, industrial, or infrastructure work.

- An operations or construction manager with significant client-facing responsibility.

- A senior field leader in rope access, inspection, or industrial services who can communicate at a strategic level.

- A client-side owner or facilities representative with deep technical and operational knowledge.

You must be comfortable working in environments with real consequences. You understand construction risk, schedule pressure, and operational constraints. You can speak confidently with engineers and safety professionals, push back when scope or schedule is unrealistic, and recognize when walking away from an opportunity is the right decision.

Most importantly, you take ownership of how work lands with operations.

What Success Looks Like

You are successful in this role if projects are clearly scoped and realistically scheduled, operations trust the work you bring forward, and clients return because issues were anticipated and managed early.

You protect margin, strengthen Tatras' reputation, and contribute to long-term, sustainable growth- not just short-term wins.
