Position: Manager, HR Operations & Systems (Workday)

Location: Downtown Toronto (hybrid role -3 days onsite per week)

Salary: $90K-$110K

We are looking for a hands-on Manager, HR Operations & Systems (Workday) to join our client's People team on a 7-month term role. This role is ideal for a Workday HR systems professional who enjoys owning day-to-day operations, supporting business users, and translating HR data into meaningful insights.

Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards, HR Operations, and Systems, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth delivery of HR services across the full employee lifecycle, while supporting reporting, analytics, and ongoing system improvements during a period of strategic change.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Act as the primary point of contact for Workday HR systems support in a tenant environment

- Triage and manage functional HR tickets through Jira, supporting hiring, onboarding, payroll-related inquiries, total rewards, and employee lifecycle changes

- Serve as the liaison with the external Workday owner for configuration changes and system updates

- Lead and support an HR Services function that responds to day-to-day operational needs across the business

- Manage and support Workday specialists who assist with HR processes

- Support approximately 3,000 employees

- Own Workday reporting, including pulling reports, managing access, and supporting monthly reporting cadence

- Interpret HR data to identify trends, patterns, and people insights

- Contribute to the development of dashboards and analytics as the organization embarks on a new multi-year HR strategy

- Support HR projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed

- Ensure data accuracy, privacy, and consistency across HR systems

What We're Looking For:

- 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, HRIS, or HR Systems, with hands-on Workday exposure

- Experience supporting Workday in a live production environment (configuration ownership not required)

- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes including hiring, onboarding, payroll support, and total rewards

- Comfortable working in a ticket-based support model with fluctuating volumes

- Solid experience with Workday reporting, data analysis, or people analytics

- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to translate system outputs into business-friendly insights

- Experience supporting or leading small teams is an asset

- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing confidential information

- University degree or college diploma in HR, Business, or a related field
